Pitches
Every match is played on a different randomly chosen pitch — five distinct looks and moods.
Five random pitch types
At kick-off the game picks one of five pitches at random, each in a living stadium with floodlights, waving crowd banners and drifting clouds:
- Classic stripes — Crisp mown stripes under bright floodlights
- Premium checkerboard — Chequered turf for a big-match feel
- Rainy mudbath — A muddy field in driving rain
- Snow pitch — A white field played with a hi-vis orange ball
- Plain lawn — A clean, even green — no distractions
The snow pitch
On the snowy field the white ball would vanish, so the game swaps in a hi-vis orange ball — the same trick real winter matches use. Visibility stays high even against the snow.
Do pitches change play?
The pitch type is mainly there for variety and atmosphere — the controls and physics stay consistent, so you can focus on your aftertouch and tackle timing whichever field comes up. Only the ball colour changes (on snow), never the rules.
